This is a mega end of year message. Hope you have a little time to look through and don’t spend too much of the bosses time soaking it all up!

I hate bringing it up, but the weather has not been on our side! But I have been secret training and there are still plenty of us riding and sucking it up. Starting Jan 1st 2010, I will be (along with a few cycling buddies) handing out the THANKS A MILLION VIP CARDS. If you’re spotted wearing the SCOTTY BROWN kit you will be handed a card. Fill it out, drop it in store and over ten weeks you’ll be in the draw to win ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS of shop spending! Do nothing more than WEAR THE KIT! My great mate, Richard Scott from KIWISTYLE BIKE TOURS organised a great and epic ride last weekend called the L'etape. A ride that will continue in the future. The latest bikes are ALL now in store. My new CARRERA HERCULES one off green rig is in... Totally hot, all the CARRERA veleno and estremo frames are here. The 2010 PANTANI frames are selling well and PINARELLO 2010 FP3 bikes are here in 7 days! MY new DI2 electronic HIGHROAD (Just like Hayden Roulstens) team bike is in. I have to say.... Shimano DI2 is bloody insane. Heaps of you have ridden down the road on it, testing the changes etc... Everyone agrees...it’s the shit! EMC2 and SCOTT have SUCH an amazing line up.... just come in and wander around. We, like you, just get off on sexy hot and amazing kit... I encourage you just to wander! This weekend....... The Harbour ride.... can you believe we are here again? Man time flies when ya old! So yes, this weekend aye..... All of the team wish you the best of luck for your ride! Remember... I won this race back in the day! I was about 75kg... now that’s funny! The 5 passes tour this year was amazing! Peter, you put on a fantastic event! READ THIS... youll get hooked too! While on the subject of racing, we are VERY VERY proud to be an official sponsor of the 2010 Rabobank New Zealand road cycling championships! The road racing championships has always been an event where the best in country race on a course that is miles away from anywhere and you simply don’t get to see these guys race.... forget that! This year, the race is on your doorstep. (Take a deep breath now) understand this, this  race is a massive deal . You are going to see these guys suffer like pros, on a course that is probably the hardest in the country! Here’s the BIG DEAL... us “punters” can ride this too! There is this year for the first time EVER, a recreational grade that will take on the same course as our heroes. I have added 2 links. Look, I mean this, you have to enter NOW not to miss out. Don’t say “oh I can ride this course whenever I want”... because you simply can’t do it. You’ll be in a bunch of 200 riders, playing the same head games, using the same tactics and be able to part of what will be a life time memory. You’re racing on a block of road that will be lined with people (just like in France). We actually have a VIP party area and heaps of people are planning BBQ’s, tents, hoses etc etc. So get online now and enter. Christmas is here! We love the time off and enjoy the family time and the extra time sun tanning and riding! We have just today launched our XMAS wall. Many people love coming in and buying things for loved ones at XMAS. We do offer gift vouchers, so keep this in mind. Each of us have selected 3 great XMAS ideas, so you have 10 SCOTTY BROWNS easy gift ideas... so come in and check this out. If there is anything we can do to help you get your other half the thing they ACTUALLY want, then we will bend over backwards. But remember, gift vouchers seem a little “easy” but SO many clients want to receive them!

CLOSED OVER CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR

We have decided this year to have a break right over the XMAS-NEW YEAR period. I know this is REALLY inconvenient for the odd person. But I am giving you loads of warning. So we will be closed from the 25th December 2009 right through till Tuesday the 5th of January 2010. So that’s 9 full days shut from XMAS day! We REOPEN on the TUESDAY (5th Jan) at 10am and close at 5pm. This is also true for the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Saturday is 10-2 as normal. Then it’s back to normal.

We really appreciate your understanding on this. We, like you, enjoy having this part of the year to relax and reflect. I personally thank you for your understanding and wish you the most wonderful and relaxing time off also!

Our new website will be launched by Jan 1st 2010! You are going to LOVE it. Very interactive, easy to walk your way around and most of all.... lots of great info! We pinch ourselves often... because we just can’t believe we are doing what we are doing.
