WOW... CHRISTCHURCH CYCLING ON A HIGH!
If you are anything like me, you'll still be talking to your friends about the racing on the weekend.
Having been to the TOUR DE FRANCE, I can tell you that when you go to LE TOUR, you stand on the side of the road and soak up the atmosphere... The atmosphere on the weekend was comparable in my mind. I was mechanic for the ELITE race and was lucky to be in the car for every lap. Oh My God, the crowd was insane. The noise we could hear echoing up Dyers pass was giving us goose bumps! The race was electric and the day was amazing. I would personally like to that Simon, the organisers and officials that were there over the weekend. The elite nations has showcased what NZ cycling is and can be and I never thought I would EVER see a national championship with the excitement and frenzy that was road side on Sunday. Congratulations to all the riders and we are VERY excited about being part of this over the next 2 years. We are LOCKED in as sponsors and we hope you'll join us next year on your bike and roadside for what is NZ's closest TOUR DE FRANCE experience.

I have had 2 regular customers who were coming to the Tour Down Under 2010 pull out due to a family sickness.
I was thinking after last weekends Elite Nationals and the excitement that it created that there may be a couple of people who want to come to Adelaide this Sunday to watch some of the best bike action you will ever see.
The list of starters makes for impressive reading, Julian Dean, Hayden Roulston, Lance Armstrong, Cadel Evans ( current world Champion) George Hincapie Robbie McEwan, the list goes on and on and on.
The racing is FANTASTIC, and is a taste of the Tour de France right next door. The crowds are massive, into the high thousands each day with a TDF atmosphere each day. BUT IT’S BETTER THAN THE TOUR! Because at the Tour you can't bike home with the pros! In Adelaide the pros bike to the race than back to the Hotel each day to clock more miles up and the average weekend rider can ride with the superstar’s bunch ride style.
I may be able to get extra tickets to the Legends Night Dinner as well. Lance Armstrong is a guest speaker at this dinner and was RIVITING last year. A really cool night out MC'd by Paul Sherwin and Phil Liggett.
In 2009 one of our customers biked along side George Hincapie and he was BUZZING for days.
