A bit about Carrera
Carrera is a company with a VERY rich history. An Italian jean company, Carrera sponsored the leading UCI race team who had victories in the Giro de Italia, Tour De France and other huge “classic” races. This success led to the establishment of the Carrera cycling company which, 14 years later, is one of the world's leading cycle brands with a reputation for innovation in technology through research, balanced by a dedication to handcrafted tradition.

Carrerra has always been at the forefront of technology, backed by a commitment to race based testing for new models. Indeed, Carrera was not only the first frame builder in Italy to introduce the use of aluminum, and the first use the combination of carbon and aluminium, but you will find Carrera bicycles ridden by elite racers in the most important competitions, from the Tour de France to the Tour of Italy, up to the World Cup Classics. In New Zealand, Carrera is the current road race champion bicycle of Darrell Kircher.

Carrera believes in refined handcrafted tradition. This means that everybicycle frame is hand TIG OR BRAZE welded with the utmost care, is hand painted, and goes through a rigorous squaring procedure and thermal treatments for a finish that you'd expect from a premier frame builder -  all done in Brescia, Italy. This is backed by Carrera's computer aided measurement system that is specifically designed for the cyclist that demands perfection - this system was used by Dario Frigo, even after his switch to another team, cementing the fact that the formula was perfect. 

I can honestly say that the line up for 2007 is second to none, achieving Carrera's desire to make bicycles that have cutting edge technology without designs that date. We have hand picked select models which we endeavor to have in the shop year round but due to the overwhelming custom colorings along with frame sizes, you may choose to special order a particular model - That is no problem.
